আসানসোল পৌরনিগমে ভাঙচুরের অভিযোগ, জেলা শাসকের দ্বারস্থ মেয়র ও কাউন্সিলররা

Fearless Bengali, Asansol, 20 May: Political tension spread in the industrial area over the allegations of vandalism of the photo of former Chief Minister Mamta Bandhyopa Dhyay and the logo of the city in Asansol city. On Wednesday, to complain about this incident, West Vandaman District Magistrate met with the Councilors of various wards including Asansole Municipal Council's Vidhana Solicitor General. Allegedly, on Tuesday afternoon, a group of workers led by the BJP Youth President entered the mayor's office. There the pictures of former Chief Minister মমত্ত বদ্যোপা ধয়ায়া are demolished. Later, pictures of the President, Prime Minister and the present Chief Minister are hung. Besides, complaints were raised that lewd comments and wishes were made inside the municipal building. On receiving news of the incident, Asansol South police station and national security personnel reached the spot and brought the situation under control. On Wednesday, Deputy Commissioner of Legislative Assembly submitted a written complaint to the District Magistrate. He said, an FIR has been lodged with the police station regarding the incident. The District Magistrate has assured to investigate the entire incident and take necessary action. The incident has created a stir in the political circles of Asansol.
