New political initiative in Asansol South, Jan Sangharsh Manch raised big issues by announcing candidates

Asansol, West Bardhaman: Keeping in mind the upcoming 2026 assembly elections, Jan Sangharsh Manch has made its political strategy clear in Asansol South. Rajunath Andar has been made the candidate by the organization with the support of Nationalist Conservative Party. Riya Mukherjee is contesting from Jamuria seat. Organization leader Rajanya Haldar said that till now candidates have been fielded at seven places in the state and in the coming days candidates will be fielded in other districts also. He said that his main objective is to bring the youth forward in politics and create a strong alternative political force. During this, gratitude was also expressed for the support of Akash Ghatak. In its statement, Jan Sangharsh Manch launched a scathing attack on Trinamool Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party. Issues like unemployment, closed factories, drinking water crisis, bad roads and exploitation of natural resources were raised prominently. The organization alleges that big political parties have been using the resources of the area for years, but not enough has been done for the development of the common people. The candidates assured that if they win the elections, they will not compromise with any big party and will work independently in the interest of the public. Before the elections, discussions have intensified in the area regarding this new political initiative and issues. Now it remains to be seen how much the public supports this option.
