Asansol: The foundation stone for the construction of the boundary wall has to be laid in the old graveyard adjacent to OK Road in Ward No. 25 of Asansol Municipal Corporation. State Law and Labor Minister Moloy Ghatak and other eminent persons were present at the event. Asansol Durgapur Development Authority (EDDA) has taken the responsibility of constructing this border wall. According to administration sources, the wall construction work will be completed at a cost of approximately Rs 29 lakh. Minister Mallya Ghatak formally laid the foundation stone and said that this work has started with the aim of improving the infrastructure of the area. Local residents claim that if the boundary wall is constructed, the safety and conservation of the graveyard will be further ensured.
