From Arup Mor to Binr Rabindra Bhawan is the auspicious start of Asansol Marathon. At the end of the marathon, a prize distribution ceremony for the winners was held at Rabindra Bhawan, Asansol.
Asansole 5K Marathon is organized from Asansole Rabindra Bhawan in collaboration with Asansole Club. District Magistrate, State Minister, Chairman along with various administration officials and entrepreneurs were present in this event.
Entrepreneurs said that in addition to 'Ran for Diabetes' for the last two years, 'Ran for Environment' has been newly added this year. A total of about 1000 people participated in this marathon in both male and female categories.
The first, second and third place winners in the two categories are awarded a prize of Rs 15,000, 10,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively. Apart from this, every competitor who completes the five kilometer run is given a medal and certificate.
