Shyam Das Nirbhik Bengali, Asansol, 7 February: Leftist labor organizations have called for a general strike on 12th February on several demands, including repeal of the labor laws of the central government. In support of that strike, a joint convention was organized under the initiative of Left Front in BNR area of ​​Asansol on Saturday afternoon. While speaking at the convention, CPIM leader Parth Mukhopa Dhaya said, “The general strike on 12th February is being called against the four labor laws of the Central Government. These labor laws are against the welfare of workers.” He further said that this strike has also been called to demand the reopening of factories that were closed due to continuous currency inflation, to protect employment and to ensure the fair rights of workers. Parth Mukhopa Dhaya further said, through this joint convention on Saturday, the objectives and demands of the general strike on 12th February have been highlighted to the common people and everyone's cooperation has been sought to make the strike successful.
