বেতন বৃদ্ধি ও স্বীকৃতির দাবিতে আসানসোল পুরনিগমে আশা কর্মীদের বিক্ষোভ

Fearless Bengali: ASHA workers under the control of Asansol Municipal Corporation have been on continuous strike since December 23rd last year. On Thursday, they again protested at Asansol Municipal Corporation, demanding salary increase and work recognition. The agitating ASHA workers complain that at present they get only Rs 5,250 as salary, which is extremely low. Apart from this, they are forced to do various tasks beyond the prescribed list of work, but no remuneration is given for that extra work. Apart from this, he also demanded full approval and recognition of ASHA workers from the state government. Asha workers said that for the last few years, they have been repeatedly demanding increase in salary through agitations and protests. But till now no meaningful action has been taken by the government or administration regarding their claims. That is why they were forced to join the movement again. The agitators clearly stated that this movement and strike will continue until their just demands are not fulfilled.
