Fearless Bengali Shyam Das, Asansole: District conference of West Bengal State Government Employees Federation was organized under the initiative of West Bengal branch in Asansole district library premises on Saturday. State Minister Moloy Ghatak was present as the keynote speaker at the conference. A large number of government employees, officials and representatives of the Federation participated in this meeting. Mayor Parishad member Gurudas Chattopadhyay, Councilor Animesh Das and many public representatives were present at the event. Many demands and problems of the employees are raised in the meeting. These included inconsistency in pay structure, delay in promotion, appointment to vacant posts, pension related complications and deficiencies in workplace infrastructure. The representatives said that these issues have been waiting for resolution for a long time. The Minister assured that the issues raised will be seriously considered by taking part in direct dialogue with the employees. He said, the government is committed to the fair claims and self-protection of the employees. He also discussed some new proposals and informed about taking necessary steps. The main objective of the conference was to properly present the demands of the employees to the government and take steps to resolve them quickly. It has been informed by the Federation that soon a detailed memorandum will be submitted to the concerned department. Enthusiasm and optimism can be seen among the employees around the meeting. According to him, the path to solving problems can become easier through direct dialogue.
