বিশ্ব সাইকেল দিবস উপলক্ষে আসানসোল ও দুর্গাপুরে বর্ণাঢ্য সাইকেল র‍্যালি

Nirbheek Bengali, Asansol/Durigapur, 7 June: On the occasion of World Bicycle Day, various awareness programs are organized across West Bengal district. To increase the use of bicycle as an environment-friendly mode of transportation and to spread the message of healthy living, Varna Dadhya cycle rally is organized in Asansol and Durgapur on Sunday. About 500 cyclists participated in the cycle rally that started from Asansol Polo Ground. The reality circumambulates various important roads of the city. Additional District Magistrate and representatives of various government and private organizations were present in the program. The participants raised the message of protecting the environment, creating a pollution-free society and health awareness. On the other hand, a colorful cycle rally is organized in Durgapur under the initiative of the city governor's office. The rally starts from the courtyard of the palace ruler's palace at 7 am on Sunday. About 60 cyclists participated in this rally. The program came alive with the active participation of both men and women. Pranab Ghosh was present at the event. He was not only present at the inaugural event, but also participated in this awareness initiative by riding a bicycle with the participants. He laid importance on increasing the use of bicycles as an environment-friendly vehicle and called for the use of bicycles in daily life. According to the administration, the main objective of World Bicycle Day is to encourage the use of bicycles to protect the environment, save energy and maintain the physical health of people. It is for that purpose that such programs have been organized. A huge enthusiasm was seen among the participants around the rallies and the message of environmental awareness spread among the common people.
