Fearless Bengali, Sham Das, Asansol: After taking oath as the Minister of West Bengal Government, Agnimitra Pal reached his assembly constituency Asansol South for the first time. Widespread enthusiasm was seen among BJP workers and supporters in various areas, starting from the National Highway, around his arrival on Friday. Hundreds of BJP workers congratulated him with party flags, banners and trumpets. Today, facing the journalists, Agnimitra Pal said, it is not possible to express the feeling of this victory in words. He claimed that this success has come due to the tireless hard work of BJP workers and the blessings of the common people of Asansol South. At the same time, he said, TMC level workers have played an important role in the formation of BJP government in whole Bengal. The minister said that from now onwards development work will be delivered to every home. He assured that all the basic services which were lacking for a long time, like construction of drinking water, roads and toilets, will be done on priority. Through his office, we have got the opportunity to work closer to the people,” comments Agnimitra Pal. Giving a strong message on administrative matters, he said, strict action will be taken against those involved in corruption, murder and conspiracy. Apart from his allegation, the previous government had filed many cases and all those cases will be seen re-trial. On this day, he also praised the leadership of Shubhendu Adhikari and called him a “dynamic” and “active” leader. When asked about the injustice done to an ASI of Andal Police Station, Agnimitra Pal said that he did not know the details of the matter, but would talk to the Police Commissioner. He became involved in pollution control. Assuring to stop illegal sand and coal theft from Damodhar river, he said that strict monitoring will be done to control pollution in industrial areas. Especially the factories in the Mangalpur industrial area will be instructed to run pollution control equipment, so that the people of the city and surrounding areas do not suffer from problems like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. If necessary, strict administrative action will be taken, he warned.
