Fearless Bengali, Asansol: On April 9, the leadership of BJP's Asansol branch held a press conference in front of the public meeting of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Asansol Polo Ground. Present in this press conference were Kultir MLA Dr. Ajya Podar, Asansol South MLA Agnimitra Paul, Asansol North Assembly BJP candidate Chrishnendu Bhattacharya, Barabani Assembly candidate Ariji Rai, Jamudiya Assembly candidate Dr. Bijan Mukherjee along with BJP candidates from Raniganj were present. Agnimitro Pal said in the press conference that after 2019, after a long time, the Prime Minister is coming to Asansol again. He can make important announcements regarding several developmental projects in the coming days. He further said that the demand for construction of a bridge on Damodhar river was repeatedly conveyed to the state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, but no response was received. Therefore, he expressed hope that if BJP comes to power, the work of construction of this bridge will be taken up and the Prime Minister himself can make an announcement in this regard. Overall, there is excitement in the political circles of Asansol around this visit of the Prime Minister.
