Major rail accident at Jashidih Rohini-Nawadih railway gate. Gonda Asansol Express train collides with truck.

Asansol, West Bengal A major rail accident took place on Thursday at Rohini-Nawadih railway gate between Jasidih-Madhupur under Asansol Railway Division. In this accident, there was a massive collision between train number 13510 Gonda Asansol Express train and a truck loaded with rice. In this incident, not only the truck was damaged but the engine of the train was also damaged. Due to this accident, trains on down line and up railway lines were affected for some time. Movement was disrupted. The incident is being reported around 9:38 in the morning. However, the up line was made operational at around 10:55 in the morning. Asansol Jhajha passenger train has been passed. According to eyewitnesses, there was heavy traffic at the gate in the morning. Meanwhile, a truck filled with rice was crossing the railway track. Gateman Pankaj Kumar says that due to heavy traffic the signal was not given to the train. Despite this, Gonda-Asansol Express came on its down line and collided with the truck at the gate. The collision was so strong that there was chaos nearby. During the collision between the train and the truck, two motorcycles also got hit by the truck. It is a matter of relief that the motorcyclist somehow fled from the spot. There is no report of any casualty so far in this incident. Local people say that if the speed of the train had been higher, there could have been huge loss of life and property. On hearing the news of the incident, railway security forces including many senior railway officials are present on the spot and are engaged in the work of restoring railway operations.
