Fearless Bengali: Under the initiative of Trinamool Congress in Manteswar Assembly, a protest meeting was organized in the name of 'S.I.R' against the attempt to curtail voting rights of common citizens and create anarchy in Bengal. Manteswar MLA and State Minister Siddiqullah Chowdhury led this meeting organized in the fish market adjacent to Manteswar bus stand. While addressing the meeting, the minister said, for the first time, after 79 years of independence, a cabinet minister has become a candidate from Manteswar Assembly. He gave a message to the party workers - "Learn to give dignity to humans. There is no need to vote with your eyes painted, you have to vote with love. The vote will be neutral, the vote will be with love." Through this speech he appealed to the workers to remain alert. Also, regarding the assembly elections of 2026, he said in a public forum that he has already discussed about the ticket with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and All India General Editor Abhishek Banerjee. He claimed, “Manteshwar is in the palm of our hands. At the right time, the party will announce Manteshwar candidate at the Centre.”
