Fearless Bengali Shyam Das, Jammu: This afternoon at 3:30 a major road accident took place in the area adjacent to gate number 8 of National Highway 19-Jamuria and Satgram. An express bus bound for Durgapur suddenly gets involved in a violent collision with a mini bus carrying a passenger on the road to save a cow. At least 40 passengers were injured in this accident. After the incident, local residents came running and helped in rescue operations. The injured were rescued and admitted to the nearby hospital and district hospital. According to hospital sources, the condition of some passengers is critical. Locals claim that at the time of the accident, both buses were crowded with passengers, due to which the number of casualties increased. Due to the accident, traffic on the national road was disrupted for some time and there was widespread panic in the area. After receiving news of the incident, police and administration officials reached the spot and brought the situation under control. The cause of the accident is being determined.
