Centering around this incident, several BJP workers and supporters, led by BJP leader Mithun Bouri, lodged a written complaint at the Jamuria police station today.
It is reported that the allegation has been raised against Congress leader Prosenjit Puitundi for allegedly kicking a photograph of Dhirendra Shastriji on September 10, 2026. Discontent has been growing among the locals ever since a video of this incident surfaced. The complainants claim that this act has hurt the religious sentiments of the entire Hindu community.
Prior to this, a memorandum had also been submitted to the Asansol South police station regarding this matter. Today, workers gathered in front of the Jamuria police station. At this time, a young man was seen standing with a picture of Dhirendra Shastriji in his hand. Together, they submitted a written complaint to the Officer-in-Charge of the police station and demanded strict action against the accused.
